四季彩４は強健な品種で茎が太く直立する事から倒れにくく、刈取がしやすい特徴が有る。屋上緑化や道路緑化などメンテナンスがあまりされない箇所、遠景から見られる環境に適した品種です。

キリンソウの直立型、開張型ほとんどの品種で剪定メンテナンスが必要である。

特に市場で販売されているほとんどの種が大型種であることから、剪定は必ず必要なメンテナンスであり、市販品種の茎は成長後倒れるもしくは曲がり枝となり枯損するため景観が悪くなり、枯れ枝が倒れ新芽を覆い新芽の生長に悪い影響が出る

２０２３年現在市販品種で剪定メンテナンスフリーのキリンソウの販売はされていない。

唯一、剪定メンテナンスが少ない品種は、四季彩７が該当する。

四季彩７は曲がり枝のほふく性品種で高さが15cm程度の為剪定が不要です、ひでり耐候性も５０日耐性を継続しており市場投入が期待される。

As of 2023, there are no pruning maintenance-free Phedimus  on the market.

Shikisai 7 is the only variety that requires less pruning management.

``Shikisai 7'' is a creeping variety with twisting branches, with a height of about 15 cm, so it does not require pruning.It is expected to be introduced to the market because it maintains drought resistance for 50 days.
